Easter Parade affecting routes #1 & #2 on 4-8-23

Due to the Easter Parade taking place on Saturday, April 8, 2023, Topeka Metro bus routes #1 Oakland and #2 North Kansas will have detours. 

 

NOTE: This detour will only take place on the 9:15, 10:15 and 11:15 runs.

 

OAKLAND #1: The outbound Oakland bus will be on regular route to Morse and Quincy after coming over the Sardou Bridge.  It will turn left (south) on Quincy (turns into Kansas) to 1st Street, right (west) on 1st Street to Topeka Blvd., right (North) on Topeka Blvd. to Morse.  Back on route.

The inbound Oakland bus will be on regular route to Morse and Topeka Blvd.  It will continue south on Topeka Blvd. to 1st Street, left (east) on 1st Street to Kansas Ave., left (North) on Kansas Ave. (turns into Quincy) to Morse, right (east) on Morse.  Back on route.      

 

NOTE:  This detour will only take place on the 8:45, 9:45, 10:45 and 11:45 runs.

 

NORTH KANSAS #2:  The outbound North Kansas bus will be on regular route to the Curtis Flyoff and the Kansas Ave. bridge after servicing the Rescue Mission.  It will turn right (south) on the Kansas Ave. bridge, right (west) on 1st Street to Topeka Blvd., right (North) on Topeka Blvd. to Independence. Back on route.

 

The inbound North Kansas bus will be on regular route to Independence and Topeka Blvd.  It will continue south on Topeka Blvd. to 1st Street, left (east) on 1st Street to Kansas Ave., left (North) on the Kansas Ave. bridge to the Curtis Flyoff, left (west) on the Curtis Flyoff.  Back on route.
